The trail began to grow darker and darker around the fox and rabbit. A dark ominous overcast peered down at the couple through the bare tree branches and rumbles of thunder began to boom in the distance. The breeze around them began to pick up, causing both of them to squint as dust blew into their faces. They kept walking for a few more moments until they stopped dead in their tracks.
Dead in front of them stood a tall wooden gate, wrapped in old thick strands of cope covered in dry moss and grime. High above them on top of where the gate arched, a sign was presented to them, with a name engraved across it. Mammal's Temple. Beneath

About a half hour had passed before Nick and Judy began approaching the shady ravine area that was nestled between the flat sprawling desert and the looming foothills and mountains that towered high ahead of them. The fox and the rabbit were growing tired of walking. Nick's feet were hurting on the hot sand and gravel, causing him to slow down once in a while. Judy on the other hand, was persistent in reaching their destination, causing her fox companion to trail behind frequently.
"Hold up there, Fluff." Nick said. Judy just then stopped in her tracks just as the two arrived in a shady area of the road. "I think this is it."

The 3:30AM alarm on Judy's phone went off beside of her, and the bunny lifted Nick's orange furry arms off of her body to reach over and turn it off. She turned back around and put her face in Nick's muzzle. "Nick." she whispered, jostling him. "Whu-?" Nick said, groggily. "Time to get up." Judy said.
